The youngest person in my family is my niece, her name is Gabriela Fidalgo. She was born the 12th of August 2009. I haven´t met her jet because I am in London, but I know all about her live through my sisters and my mum. She is tall and chubby and she has a beautiful and tender smile, her eyes are big and her looks is deep and happy, she looks interested in all the situations around her, in this moment she is learning about all. She is always smiling and calm unless when she is hungry or she need has her nappy changed.
She likes all kind of food that a child at this age can eat, and she eats a lot, so my sister hasn´t have problems in this topic. Also she loves going to shopping like her mum and she is really happy when she going outside and meet other people, she is sociable and she likes be carried for different people. She is in the age that she can recognize her immediate family, so when my sister comes back from her work, Gabriela become excited and she start shouting. She is really lovely.

Binchi. My youngest relative.
I am going to tell about my nephew. He is a 6-year-old little boy and about to go to primary school. He has big shining eyes and *** beautiful smile which make him look attractive. I wish he would be chubby just like other children but he isn't, *** *** actually fragile, because he was born like that. That's why my family is always care of him.
We meet every summer holiday and I could feel he was very excited every time when he visited me. He tends to be shy with someone he doesn't know but it's somewhat easy to get closed to him if you like playing toys with children. He is very emotional so when his family came back to their home he always cried.

Sofia Agudelo ( to teacher Jhon)
The oldest person in my family it's my grandmother *** *** father side's. She is 70 years old and she is now retired after working for many years in her own shoe's shop.
In spite of her age she is very active and still full of live, she use to do everyday lots og things outside such as: going to shopping, pay bills, collects the rent of some aparments that used to be of my grandfather and many other things. However she has said to me that in the last *** days she's been felling a pain in one knee that bothers her, therefore she has stopped a little bit her normal activity.
I think she is that kind of person who lives for long time; I say this becouse along the family history's, all my ancestors have died at ages between 85 and 95; helpfully my grandma will be one of those, considering that until now the only problem with her health has been the pain in the knee and also because even though she looks quite weak, in her mind she still thinks she is capable to do many things( and in the end this is what really count).

Let me introduce my nephew, who is at 1 year old. He is the cutest person I *** ever seen. He is my sister's son, so he looks really like my sister. Of course, he resembles my brother-in-law as well. The 1-year-old boy has got quite cute eyes, which have truth and sincere. You can read a pure state of mind from his eyes.
I saw him lastly when I left home to go to London. It is been about 6 months, so I have been missing him. I have been waiting for and looking forward to the day that I see him again. It is going to be exciting, isn't it? I just hope that he grows healthy.

Jaeyeop Lee, The older person of my brothers
My brother at thirty-one.
He is a ordinary employee in a company. The reason why i write about my brother that he has completely changed his personality. Currently, He is very calm, quiet, relaxed and thoughtful.
Interestingly, He used to be naughty until 20 years old. I can't see what made him like that.
When he was young, he always borthered and hit me. So at that time, I vowed revenge, when i grew up. However, Unfortunately, He has become a quite nice man. Not enough to think of revenge. He hardly get angry when i call names. As if he is Jesus. Very generous! he may feel guilty to me about childhood??
Whatever, Anyway, He even occasionally gives me pocket money. What a nice man!
That is the most important factor that i forget the revenge.
I love my brother, As long as he gives me pocket money.

The older person of my family by Alejandro
The older person from all of my relatives is my grandfather (from my father's side). He's 93 years old. And in spite of his age, he still likes to drink liquor and to talk a lot, and sometimes he even makes jokes. He's pretty well conserved for his age, maybe because in his all life, he has been a really relaxed person. He was never stressed no matter what the problem was, and that's something my father doesn't like about him. He didn't care that much about the problems on their family as my grandmother.
The thing he likes the most these days, is going to the casino.
They treated him really good in there and also he's able to make some bets.
He has the same name as my father, and even *** i've never been that close to him, he is my grandfather and i care about him, about his health, and how's everything going on on his last days.

Four years ago, she entered high school because she wanted to study and have a qualification from high school and last year, she graduated her school. Currently, she carries on her studying. Some memories...
I remember that I was a child very independent... It didn't bother me to be sometimes alone even if I had lots of friends.
When I think about these times a kind of nostalgia come directly to my heart. I grown up with the same people, my friends were like my family. But then I moved country when I was 11.
My best friend was Camilo Gomez. I don't know what is life has became, what is he doing now... I knew him when I was 2 years old, he was 3. We used to look for worms in kinder-garden. He who has the bigger quantity of worms won the game. We went to the same primary school and I helped him to conquer his first girlfriend when we where 9... Everything was funny with him. But that is a long time ago. I just hope he hasn't forgotten me.

Childhood by Zofia
I grew up in the countryside on my parents farm that used to belonged to their parents and before of that to their parents and one day will belong to me or to one of my brothers or sisters.
I particularly loved the summer time, waking up early morning and play in tag with my brothers on slippery grass wet with dew.
Breakfast with milk so fresh that ** still warm and the homemade bread, baked by my grandfather, which profume was irresistible.
We used to have a lot of animals there but my and my brothers favorite were rabbits, that's why everyday we went to field in search of dendalion, rabbit's favorite herb and came back with bounches of wild flowers for our mother.
Some time, on those, we called them 'special days' we had 'expeditions' to the forest with my parents or grandfather to pick up blueberries or mushrooms, depends on the season, though we prefered bluberries as after eating them we could compaire whos tongue was the blackest one and the winner took the blueberries picked up by the looser.
I remeber going back home from the forest on the late afternoon, accrossing the river which water was impeccably clear and looking at the big red sun setting behind the horizon.
We, children, were never tired so in the night instead of sleepping we prefered to compete in 'who would count more stars' and usually we fallen asleep doing that on the soft, still sented of grass hay.
Childhood Memory
When I was a child, I used to be addicted to the Barbie’s world. I would play all the day with them if I hadn’t school time. I never played with baby dolls, all I wanted was HER. Once, one of my grandparents’ friends built me a special Villa for my collection. I was in heaven, really. But after that my cousin stucked his head in the tiny front door, screaming for help, I never seen it as before. What an idea to try to enter his head in my Barbie’s Villa !! I finally sold Barbie, Stacy, Mitchelle and all the other one on markets. However, I still have the huge Villa in my garage (too many memories to sell it).

Frustration by Joao Pedro Pierog
Christmas time is always good fun for a kid, speacially when it is time to open the gifts by the tree. I remember clearly one christmas in special, in 1997.
A couple of weeks before the great night, my dad came to me and asked me what i wanted from the Santa Claus. By that time my cousing just had got a remote control Ferarri. So, of course, I wanted one as well.
At the chrismas evening, I could not stop thinking about the Ferarri, brand new, waiting for me to play with it all night if possible. When finally my dad called my name, holding this big box wraped in a beautiful blue gift paper, I just smiled and runned to him.
I think it was a matter f 10 second and the box already was open. And yes, it was the beautiful Ferarri that i **** asked for. Jumping around of happiness, i thanked my parents and went straight outside to play with my new toy. The car on the floor, remote control in hands, ready. Set. GO! And nothing happenned. The car did not move even one centimetre. I tried a couple more times, but nothing again.
As expected, i ran to my father crying, complaining that the car was not working. Of course, the guy on the shop forgot to put the batteries on the car. How could i possibly find any open shop selling batteries at christmas evening? So I just turned "old school" and pulled my Ferarri with a cord until it fell on the pool.

Moments of my childhood. By Roman G.
When I was a child, I used to be friends with one girl. I've not still explained to myself what forces tied us with each other? First of all, we were born in the same maternity hospital in the same day, then we were living in the same house on the same floor, we had been going to the same nursery and were pupils of the same school and class. But then our ways had parted: now she has a family and baby, and I've my own life.
Sometimes I feel nostalgic for our friendship, but we always say Happy Birthday to each other one day, 21 of October within 30 years.

When I was a child , I used to play football in a local team . I thought I was quite good and I wanted to go on with the team , but after a while I understood finally why I was always the last chosen or why I wasn't often given the ball , they didn't like me at all . When I say they that's even the coach , I was like the "black sheep " of the group . I would have become maybe a great player if they had accepted me like anyone else . I've never understood that but I think now I changed and I can forget it forever .

Part of my Childhood by Camilo Giraldo.......
When I was a child I used to fish with my family every weekend in a big lake about 2 hours from our home.We wouldn´t continue fishing because the place got dangerous for the political situation in my country. Then we started to going to our farm, there I used to ride my horse and play with my dog. Later I wouldn´t go there because I meet new friends in my highschool and I preferred spend my time with them than in the farm.

Misunderstanding
The other day, after buying some stuff to cook my lunch, I decided to take the bus to go home. I walked to the bus stop and when I arrived, there was only an old lady. I don´t know why, that day the bus took more time that it usually did. I waited in there for about 25 minutes.
While I was standing in the station, the old lady started to talk to me.She was really upset because the bus hadn´t arrived yet. As she didn´t have anyone else to complain XXX, she did it with me. After a few minutes, she changed the subject and asked me something. I didn't understand what she asked, so I requested her to repeat xxxx me. Again, I failed to get it. The old lady laughed and began to talk really slow and doing mime. She was simply asking: "Can you walk home?".

Misunderstandings...
It's not difficult to have a misunderstanding talking with someone, it happens to me even in my own language. The problem is thinking about one when you're asked for it...
I remember my first week here, in this lovely town. I wanted to go to Trafalgar Square but I did not know how to go there and on top of all I only had a buss pass. I asked the driver of the first bus that came to the stop where I was. The problem is that I did not pronounce the -Square- very well. So he showed me the wrong way. I did not realize that it was not the place until I got off this bus. I was at Trafalgar Street, in Southwark instead of Trafalgar Square in Westminster.

Misscommunication
Truth comes from children’s mouth, eh ? I’ve heard it said more than once.
One month ago, I met my host family’s grandson and this 5-years-old boy is a real chatterbox ! He’s there almost every weekend so when I wake up, I don’t bother trying to make the conversation, he does it for both of us. As I’m shuffling around the kitchen, looking for the bread, he tells me a lot of stories. All the times I’m all ears but, to be honest, for such a young child, he speaks very well and sometimes I must ask him to repeat, explain, what I don’t understand.
Once he told me he had to teach me everything like to a baby. A bit hurted in my ego, I resolve to learn harder thane ver so that never again a child, who is not even at primary school, will say I don’t speak English properly.

That day there was a long qeue which almost reach the street, at that moment one costumer asked me for chicken pie but I understood and heard for the soup. then I gave her then she began to look at me so strange. listening by Nancy
Last Saturday, I was watching tv. It was a game program, where a couple play against other two couples. One of them was really young, other middle aged, and the tird one was old.
The host was asking questions to each couple, to see if they know each other very well, and they whithout see the partner had to answer the same.
some of the questions were really easy, like:
Who had the sexiest voice?, Who was the grumpiest?, Who worn the trousers?
etc.
It was a little bit boring so I decided to stop watching that.

On Friday afternoon I went to the gallery and while I was visiting the second floor, I met two persons, an old man, probably a private collector, and a young woman, expert on art probably working for him, who were talking about the works in the gallery.
When I was close enough, I heard that the woman was explaining to the men what the artist wanted to express with the work they was looking and also the valuation; moreover, she was trying to convince him to buy the work saying "Oh, this is a very original work" or "I think that this is unique of its kind" and also "This will certainly gain in value in the future".

Listening diary - by Romina Arjolekas
I was listening to BBC News. The most shocking news I have listened were two.
The first one was about a 39-year-old woman who gave birth before dying with swine flu.
The other one was about a football manager who was shot at least six times by a man who scaped in a bike.
Some phrases I understood were:
"A gunman jumped from the bushes and shot the football manager several time. He fired again to scare away the dying manager's players before fleeing"
"Where that happened is a very busy area, plenty people jogging, plenty people walking their dogs"
"Ryan will be remembered as a huge personality and as a great football man"

Co-incidence by Jungeun
When I came London, I stayed inn near to aldgate east station for 5days.
One day I saw one girl who was wearing flower printed shirt, blue skirt, red jacket, black fishnet stocking and green Dr. martin shoes passing by my room.
I thought “She looks like just came out from manga.” and I thoroughly forgot about her.
But after 1 week, I could meet her again in the classroom, when my first day of school.
I told her that I knew her already so we made up with each other so quickly, and we’re still keeping good relationships.

At the first day when I entered elementary school I met Ling. We were in the same class, at that time we both were 8-years old, and we were just normal friends. Half year late, Ling changed to another school, and we didn't contact any more. I think we would forget each other if we just stayed in our own schools.
Until 3 years later, I changed my school where I met him again, what's more, we were in the same class again. He told me he just changed to this school 2 weeks ago. What a coincidence! After that, our relationship began more and more good.
Now,we have known each other more than 20 years and Ling is my best friend.

Once upon a time, a small girl with a red cap went for a walk into the woods.
She wanted to get some blueberries for her cake and did not watch her way. She went too deep in the woods and got lost. Suddenly she heard a beautiful voice. It was the georgus voice of a man and he sang the most beautiful song, she had ever heard.
She started to answer him with another song and followed his voice. They found eachother in the heart of the wood and went home together. Both knew, it was their soulmate.
They got marrige one week later and spent their whole life together.

When I was a child and I played football, I took part with my team to the final of the championship. The match was against another local team, in which ......( his name was Emanuele Volpara) who was famous for being good at playing football: it was very hard work to mark him!
But the very strange thing is that about ten years later, in the same tournament, I found Emanuele again in a final match: both have changed team and now he was playing for an important italian football club, Genoa Fc, and was considered one of the best young players in Italy. But it wasn't very difficult to understand who he was: I recognized him as soon as he touched the ball.

The co-incidence - by Romina Arjolekas
The day before coming to London, I went to the central bank in my town to change some money to pounds.
I was queuing, when suddenly, the girl who was in front of me, in the same queue, looked at me and shouted my name.
I looked at her surprised and it took me a few seconds to realize that she was the sister of one of my friends in the high school who I hadn't seen since I left it behind, I mean, something like eight years ago!
My next surprise was that she was coming also to London, so we could meet here! It was very funny and surprising that so many years after, we had to drink a coffee in another town in another country.

My place, by Matteo Riccardi 13-7
When I arrived in London last saturday, I moved from Heathrow airport to my residence, which is in Bloomsbury, not so far from Russell Square.
It's a very peaceful area: in fact there are some parks such as Russell Square park or Coram's Fields and, above all, there isn't too much traffic and noise. There are also some interesting places to be visited: the house of the famous writer Charles Dickens and the British Museum. My residence is on the corner of Gray's Inn Road and Wren Street. I share my flat with other italian people coming from Naples, Turin and Rome and I ha ve a good relationship with them.
The flat has six bedrooms, two bathrooms and one kitchen in which I meet with my flatmates in the evening to have dinner.
Although my room is small, it has got all I need: there's a comfortable bed, a writing desk, a bedside table and a mirror above a washbasin. There's also a built-in wardrobe which includes a rack and in front of the writing desk an old armchair, on which I relax after a day's studying.

Although my room is small, it has got all I need: there's a comfortable bed, a writing desk, a bedside table and a mirror above a washbasin. There's also a built-in wardrobe which includes a rack and in front of the writing desk an old armchair, on which I relax after a day's studying.

My place
These days I live in a host family in Walthmstow central. The family is originary from Carribeans island but the mother of the family was born in Great-Britain. She is the only one among her brothers ans sisters to be a native-speakers. She's the youngest one. She very nice to me and do delicious food. Sometimes I take my meals with the family which is nice. We can discuss of a lot of interesting subjects and it is the best way to improve my english after school. The house is a typical English house. In the street all houses are exactly the sames.
My room is a double room and is very shiny. I have a desk, a television and internet access on it. It is a pretty room. The house has a little garden and the neighbourhood seems to be friendly.
I like to live here but it a a little bit far from the school so I'm looking for an flat to share in the center of London, if you know anything someone who's looking for a roomate....

My neighborhood is in the south-west of London, the name is Fulham Brodway.
The best way to arrived if you are in the center is Picadilly Line and after, change in Earl's court to District and circle lines.
The station is a shopping mall, have many section, good accessibility, a big market and restaurants.
After you need to take a bus, 211 or 295 way to hammersmith so, in 4 or 5 bus stops you are in the door of my house.
The area is residential and very quiet, near you have an excellent selection of shops and restaurants as well a cinema and a health club, Fulham Broadway has everything you need to shop, eat and play.
My flat is good, the house is old, but reconstructed 5 months ago, has a kitchen and big living room, but we doesn´t have many funiture becouse is no nessesary in this moment.
My room is white and has a doble bed with 2 tables, closet are very confortable and has a special system for the shoes.
I´m very happy here because the atmoshpere is relax and the people are very friendly.

My flat- zhanhua
When I arrived in London, Malvern House had arranged a flat for me. I was a little disappointed when the first time I saw my flat, it is small, and my host family, Paul, a middle age guy looks not so kind, I was thinking how can I live in such a small flat with him for 12 weeks(I had paid for it before I came)?
After the first week, I began to love my flat, it locates near Warwick Avenue station, quite quiet area and very easy to get a bus or tube to go to everywhere in London. A singer whose name is Duffy lived this area and she has a song name "Warwick Avenue", quite nice song, and I think she loved it as well.
Paul is very nice, much better than I though when I saw him at the first time. He helps me all the time, especially for improving my English, because he is an English people and he always corrects my English. What's more, Paul is good at cooking, I can have different delicious dinner every way, so lucky I am!
Also, I have nice flat mates, one girl from Japan, and one boy from France. We enjoy every day in our flat.
My Home in London

The house has a very beautiful garden with some tree fruits and all quinds of vegetables that the women of the house plants her self.

My Host-family is friendly but I don't like her because they are so different like me.
There is an other girl with me, Verra, she is very nice and I like her because we talk together.
She stays in London for 3 weeks and She goes to school at Regents Park.
It's an old and small Victorian house. In the bathroom, the water it's either so cold or so hot and the tapestry fall in scrap. In my bedroom I have a bed, a desk and a wardrobe.
For the dinner I eat with Verra in the sitting room and my host family eat on the sofa.
the house is very different than my house because I have a big house with a big garden and my house is modern.

When I arrived in London last Saturday, I moved from Heathrow airport to my residence, which is sited in Bloomsbury, not so far from Russel Square.
It's a very peaceful area: in fact there are some parks such as Russel Square park or Coram's fields and, above all, there isn't too much traffic and noise. There are also some interesting place to be visited: the house of the famous writer Charles Dickens and the British museum.
My residence is on teh corner of Gray's Inn Road and Wren Street. I share my flat with other Italian people coming from Naples, Rome and Turin and I have a good relationship with them.

We don't have a TV-set in our room, we watch it in the kithen.
There are a lot of people in oure house. On our floor there live 2 Sweedish girls, who are so nice, a Spanish girl from Barselona and a guy from Palestine, who has been living in London for 5 years. In the ground floor there live 2 Russian girls, a Korean Girl and 2 girls from Greece. And on the second floor there live the second Korean girl. We call her a Ghost, because she is always at home, but people in our house hardly ever see her.
I like my house and my neighbours very much, it's interesting to live with people from all over the world.

"My place" - by Romina Arjolekas
I am living in a student residence in London. The residence calls Nido. It is located next to King's Cross Station.
My neighbours are young students also. The people are really nice and extroverted and I already have lots of friends in here.
Nido is a very new building, decorated in a very trendy way and with lot of places to join; for example, we have the Cafe room, where you can sit on a sofa, Internet connection, watch tv or eat and drink something. Also, there are pool tables, football tables and an old music machine. So, this is perfect to join with your friends and have some fun.
Moreover, we have a fitness centre, a screening room with lots of movies playing everyday and a lobby with a terrace to catch some rays.
My room is a single one, but it is equipped with a bathroom inside and a kitchen also, with a microwaves oven, a cooker, fridge and all the neccesary utensils.
I have a desk and a telephone also.
But without any doubt, the best in my room, that is on the 6th floor, are the good London views.
