My lovely friend.

Since the beginning my life in London, I met many foreign friends in Malvernhouse school. I've known one Brazilian girl, her name is Simone and she older than me 22 years. If I were to describe how she looks, I would say she is very pretty. She is not very tall but not short either and she is quite slim. She doesn't like to dress up so I usually see her wearing jeans and a T-shirt or sweater. She has a very nice personality, she has a positive outlook on life and a wonderful sense of humour. She and I are always talking or laughing about something. I can always count on her to be honest and to give me the best advice. During the time we had sherd together I alway go out with her also weekends. We both like go shopping and cooking. I really enjoyable with her. We are interested in many of the same hobbies.Whatever we're doing, it's always fun to be with her.
Today,we are different place. A lot of changed but one thing that never changed is our friendship. We are still get in touch to each other.
And I can say Thanks Simone for being the most wonderful friend.

She is cOol as a CucumBer.. MAYRA TOVAR

I have known a lot of special and beautiful people in my school, my university and my trips... and as everybody knows, people go and come, but always they learn you something and you keep it everywhere you go... In this moment of my life I feel very far from my colombian friends, although I know they are there to support me and to listen to me.. That´s why I want to write about a person that is in this very moment here with me... She is Nohora, my roommate.

Nohora has been here in London since february and since when I arrived to my new flat, she was very kind with me. She explained me some things about the transport and the jobs, we went with her friends to London Bridge and to hyde park, and we had a really good time.

I also like her personality, because she is uncomplicated and she shares a lot of things with me. For example, when she cooks rice she always offers me a little bit, and the same is with the other staffs. Moreover, I think we are like-minded in several ways. She prefers mild food, cold weather and well done meat, the same as me.
Even I haven´t shared a lot of time with her, I can feel we have a kind of connection and a lot in common.

Living in a new city.

I don't have only one best friend, because I have been living in different cities during my live, so is difficult to me to keep in touch with the same person for a long time, but with some of my friends is so easy to talk when we see each other, that is like if we had never stopped.

One of my best friends is Ana; we know each other since 2008, when I went to work in a city far away of my home.

Ana was working in the same place where I was going to work and was renting one of the bedrooms in her flat, and the company people told me about the place so I took the room even without know to Ana, just for have a place to arrive.

Within the first months Ana showed me the city and helped me to fit with the people at work, live together and share the experience of live and work in a strange city, far away of our families, made us really good friends.

Ana is a very kind, happy and friendly person, but a little naive so some times the people make jokes to her and she don't understood it, which is sometimes funny and sometimes annoying.

We live together for three years; made a few mutual friends; and shared a lot of experiences, that I’m sure are going to keep our friendship for a long time.

She still working in the same place, and me...well I'm here, so it's a bit difficult to talk regularly each other, but we wrote emails with the last news of our lives at least once at week.

My unforgettable best friend

My best friend is Carolina Rodriguez she has the same name like me. She is 23 years old and she is studying international business. I knew her when I started my degree at university, where we did a lot of things together. She is my best friend because we have a lot in common and when I start to know her I realized that we are on the same wavelength in our lives. By that moment, I was staying with my ex-boyfriend and we broke up. I felt really bad but never alone because always she stood by me and she helped me to get up and continue with my life. After that, I started to go out with all my friends again and with Caro obviously. We had nice parties, lovely dinners and nice moments that I will never forget. I still keep in touch with her, who tells me every day all the gossips that it happens in my city and we still are the best friends in the world.

My best friend - Ana Lis

Since my childhood, I’m getting used to be always with many friends. I’ve friends from my preschool and something like that... I’m so happy and satisfied when I think about that days... I’d been fun with this friends, Who I really Love – like Flávio, Marina, Aline, Julia, Karina, Ludmilla, Débora, Fernanda, Lurian, Júlio Henrique etc etc...

In my teenager I’d still kept in touch with these friends and I knew other friends so so so nice! Rafael is a friend very closed who I met in my teenager, for exemple. In my University I’ve been meeting people that I don’t believe that they can exist! My close friends are very similar to me and we can talk about everything without problems... I Love them: Roney, Gabriel, Raphael, Thiago, Thiago “Jota” and Julia.

But, my REALLY best friend forever is my younger sister, Livia Laila or “Lila”, Who I have a enourmous and immeasurable Love. With her, I feel so comfortable and security... We are getting used to be confident about each other as we aren’t with nobody more. Since our childhood, our daddy and mum become furious when they were scoldin with one of us and the other one tried to protect the sister. We neither fought nor tried snitching for our parents. It’s a quite funny to remember that.

She is my “shoulder” when I need and I’m a “sister-mother” for her with her decisions! We are really united and we enjoy staying together for hours and hours - doing nothing or evertything! In our holidays (because nowadays I’ve living in other city than her) we stay in home watching films, eating pop corn and always with clasped hands or hugging each other on the afternoons. It’s sweet and delicious... I miss her and to stay here without her it’s very difficult! Obviously I know that she can be fine and me too. But, I know that with her close to me everything is easier. She is 19 and i’m 21. We are blond, we enjoy rock and MPB (Popular brazilian music), we Love eating, we hate lies and... we were Born in the same month in the year: june. I know If it exists “soulmate” she is mine one.

my close friends in london

In the end of March, one week before my school life started, I came to London.
One of my best friends in London arrived here, four days after my arrival.

I first met her on the corridor in our convent. I just remember she was gazing at me walking.
She first thought I was not Japanese; she was wondering where I was from.

I forgot the first conversation between us though. No sooner we met, we had started talking about our dream or the life in Japan. She is very confidential, generosity and amusement.
She is always on my side. We can talk both something serious and funny. She always makes me laugh.

The other close friend is also from Japan. She has been here for two years. I remember the first conversation with her. She taught me how to get the bus from Hampstead to Kingscross.
She helped me a lot to settle here. She looked as cool as cucumber but more and more, we talked, more and more I noticed she was not like that. She is honest, loyal and amusement.

We all are from different parts of Japan. We had different life before. I really appreciate to be able to meet them here. I hope our friendship lasts long after we have new life in the future.

My close friend

There I am on my 8th or 9th birthday - I'm not sure which one it was. Can you tell which cheeky little boy is me?

I'm the second from the left, and my best friend at that time was Jamie, the boy on the far right. We had a pizza party at Mother's Pizza and my mom made a cake that was in the shape of a domino. I think that weekend, we also went roller skating.

Like all boys at that time, we were really fascinated by Star Wars and Lego and used to invent all our own variations on the stories. Jamie and I would watch cartoons while playing with Lego or Atari and sometimes we exchanged our bikes. He had a banana-seat chopper and mine was a BMX. Cooool!!
