Tropa de Elite 1 - Hugo

This is a Brazilian film set in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil - and was filmed at the same place. The film is directed by Jose Padilha and the main character, Captain Nascimento, is played by Wagner Moura. A lot of people believe that Moura is one of the best actors in the new Brazil generation of actor`s. I agree with them. The film is a semi-fictional history about BOPE (Especial Policemen Operation Squad) which is a very special Police department which the soldiers are trained more than other cops. BOPE men are very honest and fight against the corruption in Military Police and in Rio de Janeiro communities of poor people that there are a lot of drug dealers. It happens in 2007 and the film is a little bit ironic and critical, because the Padilha has chosen a man to play the Rio de Janeiro Governor that looks like a lot Sergio Cabral (Rio de Janeiro Governor). Nascimento realizes that fighting against the drug dealers are not the only way to clean the violence and also the corruption. So, the film continues..
