My house
Elke Stam
Netherlands – Oosterstreek (Friesland)
I live in a very little town with only 520 citizens and I probably now all of them. You could describe my neighbourhood as ‘country side’ with lots of woods and green lands with cows and horses.
There are lots of farms around, however I live in a normal separate family house. The house is build fifteen years ago and looks just really normal.
It’s a quite big house with ceiling, garage and basement. Upstairs four bedrooms and a bathroom and downstairs a bedroom with attached bathroom. Also downstairs you have the kitchen, sitting room, dining room and scullery.
The garden is all around the house and is quite nice. In the front of the house, with flowers and a little path. In the back green grass, a coop and terrace.
The most beautiful about the house view, even though in the front there is just street and houses. In the back you have a beautiful view over green lands with horse flowers and cow’s easily grassing.

It all sounds so picturesque, Elke! You are so lucky to live there, I think. Is your town close to anything? Another city or the coast?
