The first person who comes to my
mind when I hear the word family is my mom. My father passed away when I was a
baby, so she has always been a father and a mother for me. I’ve always said
that I want to be exactly like her when I “grow up”. Although she’s tall, has
blue eyes and blond hair; I am not talking about her appearance – even though I
should!
When I say that, I mean I want my children to look up to me the way I
look up to her. She’s a great person; she’s really understanding, really
intelligent, but not that kind of intelligent person who knows everything about
Chemistry and Physics. She’s the kind of person who knows how to give a piece
of advice, if you need one; how to tell a joke, if you need one, too!
But I think what I like the most
about her is the way she values my opinion. Every time she needs a brain or a
second opinion about important or unimportant things, she comes to me. We talk
a lot about our things and that’s one of the biggest things I miss now that I
am living in London - it is not being able to have a cup of coffee with her when
she’s back from work and talk about our day and what’s on our mind.
