So, by this time next year I`ll definitely be back to Brazil. I`ll be also back to the university, continuing my studies on psicology. I probably will be doing a resarch project at the university. I still have 4 years until graduation.

I hope I have traveled a lot around europe until next year, cause that was one of the reasons why I chose London to live in! I also hope that I have had a great time here!

MatthewSweetMercy!!! Someday in the future!

Hello everybody! First of all,I've to introduce myself.I'm Matthew,a young white man from Thailand.(Even you always see my skin looks like tan,but actually it's really white deep inside)
I came to London for learning clean English language. After I finish my course,I'm going back to my country. I've 2 choices for my future.
First,I'll apply for a job as journalist or any interesting occupants in famous company. It looks like I'm going to be an employee again.
So,second,I'll run my own business.I'll have to form a new company and hire people to work for me. The second alternative will make me going to be an employer and have lots of reponsibility.
However, the biggest problem of the second is how could I get enough money for starting my new business.

Sofía Rodríguez

My name is Sofía Rodríguez, I am Colombian and I am here in London learning English. I am going back to my country in November and I going to look for a new job in my career, so in one year I will have found a good job, I hope, and I will be working very hard.

I will be living alone in my flat in Bogotá and I am going to continue studying; by 2013 I will have finish at least 1 course or I will have started a postdegree.

I definitely not going to work in a temporary job, I have decided to find a job in my career and If I start a temporary job, I will probably be there for more than a season, it had already happened to my and I do not want to lose more time.

Exactly in a year I will probably be expending time with my nephew because he will be on his birthday. And, maybe not in a year but in some years I wil have set up my own agency.

Mehmet Cakir (last and next three years)

I graduated from Univercity Of Istanbul Electonic Engineering department. After that I went to Turkish Army and served there about one year. I looked a job during next two months after I came back from Army. After several interview I recieved If I have a good job in my country I have to learn English wery well. At a result I came to London to learn English.
It's difficult to say something about my next three years because I don't know my all plans will happen or not because there is two important point. First of them is money second is manage taking a good IELTS score. I will have finished my English Training in Malvern House in next January. If my English isn't enough to start for MBA Education,I will have to go on my training until I'm ready.
I will go back after I do my all plans and I will be working as a engineer in a good company. there will be two important situation. Firstly I will have learnt English perfectly and secondly I will have graduated from a MBA program. This two things will be helpful all my life.I hope everybody could do what they want (just right things:)

MY FLATMATE, MY LOVE

I met my flatmate Mark when I was studying in Dublin in 2009. I met him at a wedding party while I was working as an au pair. My boss dragged me to dance and suddenly the bouquet dropped in my hands, Mark took a picture and we fell in love. This bouquet was lucky, don´t you think?

kidding aside, we´ve been together ever since. He has lived in London for about 23 years, but he is Scottish. Although my last English teacher has said that Scots don´t speak English, I LOVE his English. He has a nice voice, very confident, strong and pleasant. He sings very well and he is crazy about music.

Like most British, he has blonde hair and blue eyes. He is tall (about 180cm), funny, kind, honest and polite! He hates queues and sometimes he is quite impatient with things or people, but on the other hand he is very helpful and solidarity. He is very intelligent and works for IBM. He is in his late forties and he usually wears formal clothes (to work).

Well, sometimes we have some fights, sometimes he is not easy going, mostly because he thinks that things need to be his way, but at the end we always make up.

He supports Celtic and hates Ranges, and never misses a game! (I said NEVER!) :/

As a boyfriend, Mark is very loyal, lovely and generous, but as a flatmate, he is not good at being organised. Humm, anyway I think he is the best flatmate that I could have. :)

BEST OF THE BEST

His name is Leonardo Saccioni. I have known him for two years. I met him in Finance class at university in Thailand. He gave me advice because of his knowledge and experience. He is also helpful and responsible. What I like about him is that he is very funny and easy-going. Therefore, we can get along well.
He is Italian-Thai. He is in his early twenties. He is quite tall and good-looking. His hair is brown and straight. He has got brown eyes. He always wear casual clothes. He has a lot of style.
He is a photographer so his hobby is taking pictures. Also, he composes music for his band. When he has free time, he always ask me to go to cinema and have dinner. The last time I saw him was three months ago. I hope I will see him soon when he comes to Italy.

My Dearest Mom

I'm going to describe my dear mom in Taiwan. My mom is a 40-something woman with black straight hair and beautiful black eyes. She's 163cm tall and is a little chubby. She is a kind-hearted person,so she always treats everyone kindly. She has a optimistic character ;therefore, she always looks on the bright side of every difficult thing. My mom is a woman who doesn't like to follow the trend of fashion;she has her own style and just likes to dress herself in a plain way.In her free time, she loves to cook some delicious cuisine for us. I think that it's one of the main ways she shows her love for us. The last time I saw her was about one week ago because I just left my country to London. By the way,I really miss and love her a lot.

Yi-Ling Liu

My lovely flatmate

I would like to introduce my flatmate. I’ve met her since last year November. She was study in Malvern house as well. We’re from same country, so really happy to meet her in here. She’s in her twenty. We’re same age. What she looks like… She has quite long straight hair. She’s very pretty!! She’s really friendly. But a little bit stubborn. When she decided to do something nobody can change her mind. However she’ll do her best, so I think that might be bad personality. She likes dancing and drawing. She’s very good at drawing. She had drawn me a picture for my birthday present. She’s such a genius. She was finished study in February in this year. At the time she was went back to Taiwan. Actually she will study master in the UK. So she came back here again. Be my flatmate. We don’t have problems in our flat, because we’re similar. We’re like family. I really hope she can be a good artist. I believe her!!

Vallenato Colombian folklore

Vallenato is one of the typical paces in Colombia which it´s located in South America specifically in Caribbean coast. This kind of music is played with 3 classic and principal instruments accordion, caja and guacharaca. The first one was born in Austria and the caja in Africa. However, you can play this music with another’s instruments as guitar and flute as well.

The word Vallenato had came from the people who live in Valledupar department of Cesar. It is very important because it represents the Colombia culture around the world. Actually there is a festival that´s been called “festival de la leyenda vallenata” which it´s celebrated in April and it´s really popular because the good musicians compete to be the best accordion player.

My lovely friend.

Since the beginning my life in London, I met many foreign friends in Malvernhouse school. I've known one Brazilian girl, her name is Simone and she older than me 22 years. If I were to describe how she looks, I would say she is very pretty. She is not very tall but not short either and she is quite slim. She doesn't like to dress up so I usually see her wearing jeans and a T-shirt or sweater. She has a very nice personality, she has a positive outlook on life and a wonderful sense of humour. She and I are always talking or laughing about something. I can always count on her to be honest and to give me the best advice. During the time we had sherd together I alway go out with her also weekends. We both like go shopping and cooking. I really enjoyable with her. We are interested in many of the same hobbies.Whatever we're doing, it's always fun to be with her.
Today,we are different place. A lot of changed but one thing that never changed is our friendship. We are still get in touch to each other.
And I can say Thanks Simone for being the most wonderful friend.

She is cOol as a CucumBer.. MAYRA TOVAR

I have known a lot of special and beautiful people in my school, my university and my trips... and as everybody knows, people go and come, but always they learn you something and you keep it everywhere you go... In this moment of my life I feel very far from my colombian friends, although I know they are there to support me and to listen to me.. That´s why I want to write about a person that is in this very moment here with me... She is Nohora, my roommate.

Nohora has been here in London since february and since when I arrived to my new flat, she was very kind with me. She explained me some things about the transport and the jobs, we went with her friends to London Bridge and to hyde park, and we had a really good time.

I also like her personality, because she is uncomplicated and she shares a lot of things with me. For example, when she cooks rice she always offers me a little bit, and the same is with the other staffs. Moreover, I think we are like-minded in several ways. She prefers mild food, cold weather and well done meat, the same as me.
Even I haven´t shared a lot of time with her, I can feel we have a kind of connection and a lot in common.

Living in a new city.

I don't have only one best friend, because I have been living in different cities during my live, so is difficult to me to keep in touch with the same person for a long time, but with some of my friends is so easy to talk when we see each other, that is like if we had never stopped.

One of my best friends is Ana; we know each other since 2008, when I went to work in a city far away of my home.

Ana was working in the same place where I was going to work and was renting one of the bedrooms in her flat, and the company people told me about the place so I took the room even without know to Ana, just for have a place to arrive.

Within the first months Ana showed me the city and helped me to fit with the people at work, live together and share the experience of live and work in a strange city, far away of our families, made us really good friends.

Ana is a very kind, happy and friendly person, but a little naive so some times the people make jokes to her and she don't understood it, which is sometimes funny and sometimes annoying.

We live together for three years; made a few mutual friends; and shared a lot of experiences, that I’m sure are going to keep our friendship for a long time.

She still working in the same place, and me...well I'm here, so it's a bit difficult to talk regularly each other, but we wrote emails with the last news of our lives at least once at week.

My unforgettable best friend

My best friend is Carolina Rodriguez she has the same name like me. She is 23 years old and she is studying international business. I knew her when I started my degree at university, where we did a lot of things together. She is my best friend because we have a lot in common and when I start to know her I realized that we are on the same wavelength in our lives. By that moment, I was staying with my ex-boyfriend and we broke up. I felt really bad but never alone because always she stood by me and she helped me to get up and continue with my life. After that, I started to go out with all my friends again and with Caro obviously. We had nice parties, lovely dinners and nice moments that I will never forget. I still keep in touch with her, who tells me every day all the gossips that it happens in my city and we still are the best friends in the world.

My best friend - Ana Lis

Since my childhood, I’m getting used to be always with many friends. I’ve friends from my preschool and something like that... I’m so happy and satisfied when I think about that days... I’d been fun with this friends, Who I really Love – like Flávio, Marina, Aline, Julia, Karina, Ludmilla, Débora, Fernanda, Lurian, Júlio Henrique etc etc...

In my teenager I’d still kept in touch with these friends and I knew other friends so so so nice! Rafael is a friend very closed who I met in my teenager, for exemple. In my University I’ve been meeting people that I don’t believe that they can exist! My close friends are very similar to me and we can talk about everything without problems... I Love them: Roney, Gabriel, Raphael, Thiago, Thiago “Jota” and Julia.

But, my REALLY best friend forever is my younger sister, Livia Laila or “Lila”, Who I have a enourmous and immeasurable Love. With her, I feel so comfortable and security... We are getting used to be confident about each other as we aren’t with nobody more. Since our childhood, our daddy and mum become furious when they were scoldin with one of us and the other one tried to protect the sister. We neither fought nor tried snitching for our parents. It’s a quite funny to remember that.

She is my “shoulder” when I need and I’m a “sister-mother” for her with her decisions! We are really united and we enjoy staying together for hours and hours - doing nothing or evertything! In our holidays (because nowadays I’ve living in other city than her) we stay in home watching films, eating pop corn and always with clasped hands or hugging each other on the afternoons. It’s sweet and delicious... I miss her and to stay here without her it’s very difficult! Obviously I know that she can be fine and me too. But, I know that with her close to me everything is easier. She is 19 and i’m 21. We are blond, we enjoy rock and MPB (Popular brazilian music), we Love eating, we hate lies and... we were Born in the same month in the year: june. I know If it exists “soulmate” she is mine one.

my close friends in london

In the end of March, one week before my school life started, I came to London.
One of my best friends in London arrived here, four days after my arrival.

I first met her on the corridor in our convent. I just remember she was gazing at me walking.
She first thought I was not Japanese; she was wondering where I was from.

I forgot the first conversation between us though. No sooner we met, we had started talking about our dream or the life in Japan. She is very confidential, generosity and amusement.
She is always on my side. We can talk both something serious and funny. She always makes me laugh.

The other close friend is also from Japan. She has been here for two years. I remember the first conversation with her. She taught me how to get the bus from Hampstead to Kingscross.
She helped me a lot to settle here. She looked as cool as cucumber but more and more, we talked, more and more I noticed she was not like that. She is honest, loyal and amusement.

We all are from different parts of Japan. We had different life before. I really appreciate to be able to meet them here. I hope our friendship lasts long after we have new life in the future.

My close friend

There I am on my 8th or 9th birthday - I'm not sure which one it was. Can you tell which cheeky little boy is me?

I'm the second from the left, and my best friend at that time was Jamie, the boy on the far right. We had a pizza party at Mother's Pizza and my mom made a cake that was in the shape of a domino. I think that weekend, we also went roller skating.

Like all boys at that time, we were really fascinated by Star Wars and Lego and used to invent all our own variations on the stories. Jamie and I would watch cartoons while playing with Lego or Atari and sometimes we exchanged our bikes. He had a banana-seat chopper and mine was a BMX. Cooool!!

My new flat :)

Being new in London has been a little difficult because there are many things that are different from Colombia, one of them is my new flat. At first I didn´t like it too much, but over time I like it more because it is spacious, comfortable and beautiful.

My flat has two levels. In the first level are the kitchen, the biggest bedroom and my bathroom. The kitchen is very big and it is composed of one wood table, two freezers, an electric stove and a washing machine. Next to it is my bathroom, which I really like it because although it is small is always clean. And in front of my bathroom is my favorite room, because is the biggest one of the house and has a huge mirror, unfortunately is not mine!.

The second level is composed by my flats´mates bedroom, and next to it is my bedroom. Those two rooms are small but very comfortable, besides there are amazing people in there. My
flats´mates name are Hanane who is french, Sam who is english and Nohora who is colombian and is my roommate.

My flat also has a small but cosy terrace with a barbecue and some chairs. It is a great place and we are planning to have a barbecue in these days.

Although it is different from my flat in my country, I´m getting used to it and I think I´m very lucky to live there and have new experiences.

the wonderful couch

I have lived in my flat since the end of the March. There are 5 people, 2 British, 1 Spanish and 2 Japanese (including me), in our flat. The flat is not too big, too small, very comfortable to live with 5 people. There is always some full-fat milk in our refrigerator because I drink hotmilk almost everyday and one of my flatmates, he is real British, has taken about 8 cups of tea in a day. One TESCO express is near from our flat. We can also use Morrisons or another big TESCO on foot. I can see our small garden from the window in my room. Sometimes, the cat which was called Joey is taking a walk there. My favorite room is... oh, it's difficult to choose one from my room or the living room. The couch in the living room is really nice. Once I sit on it, I always need to make big effort to stand up again. I'm happy to live here, really. Mirai Ikei

Ana Lis Soares - My spacious flat

My flat in London is a quite good. I really like my flatmates and the time that we enjoy there! We are get used to stay in the kitchen and spend a lot of time there talking about our lives, our experiences in Europe and something like that. I’m very interested in cooking... So, I cook differents dishes for us as well. (To be honest everybody loves it!).

I share my bedroom with two girls (both are brazilians, but from different states than each other), actually. We have a suite very spacious and comfortable. I like the colour of the walls in my bedroom – they are blue and white that makes me “in peace”. Besides the walls, I’m falling in Love with my bathroom which has a nice glass shower and a mirror in front of the toilet.

My flat is organized and personallity I thing that it has a enough space for everybody! I like it and I’ve been enjoying my life in London outside and indoor!

Hello.
My Flat is located in Kensington, it´s a beautiful zone in London, I live with my Spanish friend and her son. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 livingroom, 1 kitchen and 1 bathroom. My favourite space of my flat is the living room, It´s quite big but not huge, there is a big window through you can see a beautiful garden, it has a comfortable sofa, one coffee table and a big tv. I like this room. When my friends came we have a good time, we have a dinner and we play games or we watch a movie.

x'mas present (*the last topic)

When I was a child, my younger sister and I used to receive gifts from Santa Clause on Christmas, mostly. (One year, he didn't come because of his finance. This is why I used 'mostly'. What's more the fact was that the person who answered the phone from Santa was our grand mother.) We used to write a letter to Santa about what we want and post it into mailbox in our home. At that time, we really wanted to get a hamster because our lovely hamsters had just been dead. We kept writing 'a hamster' on our list for a few years, but one day, father said, 'I think.. Santa couldn't visit with a hamster.' so, we gave up. Anyway, we have given many gifts from Santa except the hamster. One year, the gift was a small board game for hockey, other time it was the sock which was full of colorful pens. We really enjoyed x'mas time.
By the way, .. when was the last x'mas which Santa visited for us.

p.s. I found my unfinished writing. Sorry for late posting!! mirai

Teddy Bear

The last present i received was a little teddy bear from my girlfriend, the name of the teddy bear is "Filipo", he is a cute, tiny and yellow, he is kind of chubby too, he has a big smile in his face and when you press his belly he sounds.

Filipo was one of her favourites teddy bears in her collection, she gave it to me the day I traveled to London, because she wanted to give me something she love and something that mattered too much for her, to make me feel her around me... even if she is not here, to make me feel her close to me, and to remind me that I have someone who loves me and is waiting for me... waiting for the day we will be together again.

roses

The impressive presents I have received were roses but they were not real flowers. Roses in the poem my ex-boyfriends wrote to me. He descrived me roses in the poem. He was from Colombia. He wrote the poem for me before our relationship started. In my culture, it is quite unusual to write some poems to a girl friend. Moreover, girls wouldconsider the guys writing poems nerd in Japan. So I had never receieved poems before. I was very impressed even I could not understand what he wrote to me because he wrote to me in Spanish.

From unique person _ Erdinç Aslan

First of all I should confest that what really makes me happy is to receive a present.I never mind what kind of present is.
in 2003 when i was in my graduation ceremony, one of my friends - actually she is my best friend now- gave me a box which was very heavy. When i unpacked it I was absolutely suprised.!!!! There were 3 photo albums in the box.I looked over one by one; I realized that those were like a film of my life ! During the lessons, meetings, demonstrations, concerts, exams, even when i was kissing my girlfriend... everything was photographed properly.Every step i took was followed and ordered as chronological. i was so impressed for this.surely if I had paid anyone for this it wouldnt have been gorgeous like this. These albums have still sentimental value for me and I cant find any word to explain it's meaning .I appreciate my best friend once again
Cheers my unique friend :))

My last present - Ana Lis Soares

It's interesting to think about presents. All of my life I'be been receiveing many types of presents from my parents (especially), my grandmother (who always gives me money to buy soft drink - but it's much more than the necessary to do it!) and other people...
I really enjoy it, of course, but I enjoy to give present as well. Thinking about a person and see something that You are sure that this person will like... The preasure from give presentes makes me happy!
The last one that I receive - and maybe the best one - is my travel and my studies in London... My daddy (I love him!) gives me anything and he is paying for my school here, my travels to other countries and everything that I need and want to go or buy... This is so sweet and especial, isn't this?
I don't know wheter some day I'm doing something to show how I'm thanked! I think my life have been changed so much in these mounths and it's very important for me and for my mature... i know, he knows about this and because of this he pays me everything. He is confident about me ... I'm receiveing presents everyday here when I wake up because I have one more day to learn English and to know other cultures. I know that I need to recognize how much this travel and this time is value for me and... For him.
Thank you, daddy! I love you... =)

My Flat.....Art (Itthipol Aupano)

My flat is locates at Shepherd Bush. It is a flat which is Thai people have rent from Landlord. It's very tidy. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom and 1 toilet which is separated from bathroom. I have 5 flatmates from all(4 men and 1 woman).
At my flat we have rule for using bathroom because it has only 1 bathroom. So we managed time to use for example, in the morning everybody has 30 minutes for using bathroom. The time table depends on class study who is studying earlier.
And rule for using kitchen is everybody must wash everything that you used it. If not you will be fined £1 per each.
And we have time table for cleaning bathroom and toilet, room number 1 has to clean bathroom and toilet every Monday, room number 2 has to clean bathroom and toilet every Wednesday, room number 3 has to clean bathroom and toilet every Saturday.

I live in an amazing house in blackheath near to Greenwich that is a residential area ,my room is the top of the house, in a fourth floor, I live with a british family, I am aupair and I take care 4 children: 3 girls and 1 boy, the house have 4 floors and the basement ,the first floor is empty , the children and their parents sleep in the second floor and in the third floor it is a kitchen and the playing room, I don't have problems with the kitchen because the family have a housekeeper, i have my own bathroom,I am very happy in that house, the only problem is that the house is far away from the college, and i must get bus, train and underground every day. I am very happy in this house , I am very happy with my job

MY FLAT - SERGIO

The flat where I live is located in Canada Water which is a calm and beautiful zone in London. The Landlord is Colombian as I am and the majority of my flatmates. It's a flat with 5 bedrooms and each one has two beds except mine because I'm the only person who doesn't share the room and it is the most important advantage that I have. My room is in the top floor and it's tiny with a single bed, one wardrobe and a desk. The kitchen is quite big and is a little bit difficult to find it tidy all the time.
What I like the most of my flat is the location because the underground station is very close and a big Tesco as well. Four blocks from my flat there is a stunning pub which has a dock besides to The Tames and it's a good plan to get drunk there.

MY FLAT ZARINE

I LIVE HERE WITH MY HUSBAND IN 2 BEDROOM FLAT AND WE DON'T SHARE IT WITH OTHER PEOPLE. I KNOW STUDENTS USUALLY HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THEIR FLATMATES, SO I THINK I AM A LUCKY PERSON. THE HOUSE WHERE WE LIVE HAS 3 FLOORS. IN FIRST FLOOR LIVES OUR LANDLORD WHITH HIS WIFE. THEY ARE A REALLY NICE PEOPLE. WE LIVE IN SECOND FLOOR, IT'S NEW PAINTED AND THIRD FLOOR IS EMPTY. WE HAVE 2 BEDROMS AND 1 LIVINGROOM. WE KEEP ONE BEDROOM FOR OUR RELATIVES, BECAUSE SOMETIMES THEY VISIT US. OUR LIVING ROOM IS VERY BIG. MY HUSBAND IS ANTIQUARY, SO WE HAVE MANY ANTIQUE THINGS: PLATES, PAINTINGS, JUGS etc. I LIKE THE AREA, IT'S QUIET. WE LIVE IN CLAPHAM. THERE ARE MANY PARKS AND IN SUMMER WE LIKED GOING THERE FOR A WALK. AND THE IMPORTANT THING IS THAT THE UNDERGROUND STATION IS VERY CLOSE. I DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS HERE, BUT SOMETIMES I FEEL SAD, BECAUSE I MISS MY FAMILY, FRIENDS.

My flat in London! camilla

Looking for an accomodation was the first and most important thing I did, when I arrived in London in October.
After a hard search (in London flats are very tiny, old and dirty!), I found the perfect solution.
A new flat, in a new building never lived before.
So I've been living in Queen's Park for 3 months. I think the flat is a quite big: 3 bedroom, one bathroom and 1 living room with kitchen.
I rent a room with an other italian girl, my friend from the same university. I've 2 others flatmates, one crazy slovakian girl, maybe 30 years old, who works in Harrods and enjoys her life with many parties; and one serious professional english man, a lower, 28 years old, who is my landlord.
He's married last 30 december, but his wife's going to live until April in Belgium, where she works.
My landlord doesn't sleep often in our flat, because he prefers to stay with his parents. He says always, it's more comfortable!
In my room there is a double bed, a cupboard, a little table and a chest.
There is a carpet everywhere, and I don't know why in England it's common to use this.
In front of my flat, there is a little garden where squirrels sometimes come over with sunny weather.
I like it, the place is very quite. I'm very lucky.
Eventually I think it's the best solution for me!

The youngest person in my family

Irene is the youngest person in my family, she’s three years old and she is my cousin. Irene spends a lot of time at my house and she loves being with me. Even though she’s very demanding I love her. She is a very happy and positive child. She made me laugh the other day. She had a dog called Tonel who recently died. When asking her mum where Tonel was, her mother said that he was in the clouds with his parents. Then Irene looked up and said angrily ‘Tonel! Take care up there! I don’t want you to fall!’ She is so funny… She always want to play and she always is smiling! She is so sweet… When you feel bad she asks you if you are ok and if you tell her that you have some aches she will kiss the part that supoosedly hurts. She will then ask you again if you feel better. I love her to bits because she is so innocent and sweet and I smile every time I think of her.
